FOOD & CLOTHES DISTRIBUTION

The cost of living is higher than one could earn for self and family due to a lack of jobs and low economic earnings. People in poverty, the elderly, the sick, and the disabled lack the ability to generate income due to a lack of resources and know-how. In seeking to relieve human poverty, to meet the needs of the aged, the ill, the blind, and the disabled, nourishing food for adults and children is essential. Even though the need is greater, we wish to bring joy to their lives by sharing a meal or clothes with them.

People who do not have adequate means of support struggle in life to sustain their living conditions. To survive, they are often dependent upon the resources of other people. Assistance from generous people is essential for the destitute, widows, and orphans to sustain their lives. Charity towards the poor is not to encourage dependency; rather, it is a means of remedying the demoralizing effects of poverty. It sustains individual independence while promoting the good of the whole society. It is a legitimate human need to free them from becoming a victim of parasitism. Appropriate opportunities and incentives to promote community responsibility and charitable gifts to the poor are needed. Eradicating poverty can only be accomplished when practical endeavors are initiated with opportunities and incentives for the poor. Making them empowered and productive has to become the long-term approach.

Blessed are those who have regard for the weak; the LORD delivers them in times of trouble. (Psalm 41:1 NIV)

It is a sin to despise one's neighbor, but blessed is the one who is kind to the needy. (Proverbs 14:21 NIV)
