Medical Camps
Medical missions through camps have been an urgent health care need in the underprivileged communities of leper colonies, rural areas, and the people living in slums. Not everyone is privileged enough to access health services. These are often expensive and beyond the abilities of ordinary individuals. Health practitioners must go to isolated populations to reach them. The fishermen go to places where they can find fish to catch. Hence, health professionals use their gifts of service to bring healing to the desperate and deserving. Health is wealth. A healthy person is effective in leading an active life. The need to create awareness of self-care in terms of physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual is crucial to uplift them. Medical camps are vital to delivering essential healthcare services. The services offered are therapeutic, diagnostic, preventive, and referral. We look for trained medical personnel to volunteer during their spare or vacation time to help with these services.
The good Samaritan ministers to the needs of the injured victim (Luke 10:25-37).
